I’ll be speaking to the Middle School of Trinity about my writing process, including deciding on plot and developing characters. For those who’ve read the book, I’ll be using Redbud as an example: I took the story for a walk and encountered a good idea and something of interest in my own front yard. Toss that together with a trip to Chapel Hill and a picture from National Geographic, and you’ve got a living, breathing character!

I’m looking forward to answering questions and doling out teasers for Book Two in the Journeys from Ayrden series. Talking “book” is one of my favorite things!
